СЕМ® ThermoDiagnostics personal thermograph is designed for measuring infra-red (IR) temperature of any surfaces. It is made in two modifications: without the software (with LCD screen) and equipped with software (with this version a user can get a color thermogram of an examined surface). Both modifications distantly receive IR emissions from remotely located objects, including skin surfaces. The device itself does not emit any irradiation during temperature measurements. Consequently, both modifications of the device can be used for measuring temperature without any restriction. The version of thermograph with software is linked with a computer through a radio channel. The channel frequency and irradiation power (not exceeding 10 mW/cm2) are allowed for use without any restrictions.

СЕМ® ThermoDiagnostics personal thermograph is intended to be used in accordance with the same rules and regulations, which are employed for domestic appliances, instruments, and devices used with prevention purposes. The examples of such appliances are magnifying glass (for self-examination or used by dermatologists), mirrors used for self-examination, height or weight measuring devices, photographs of an examined surfaces made with photo camera (for internet consulting and expert examinations), etc. 

In order to receive accurate measurements of local IR temperature of skin surfaces, it is necessary to use a special plastic nozzle, which is included in СЕМ® ThermoDiagnostics set. The device should be cleansed by medical alcohol solution, avoiding ingress of the fluid in the sensor or inside the device itself. The nozzle can be disinfected by any means, including sterilization.

If the device was used technically correctly, the manufacturer guarantees accurate IR temperature measurements and receiving adequate thermal images. The results of examinations done with the use of СЕМ® ThermoDiagnostics, including the results obtained by a patient, can be interpreted only by specialists. The authors are not accountable for wrong interpretation of results of temperature measurements.

A user can learn necessary skills for interpretation of thermograms, together with advice provided by physicians during consultations. Application of the device is similar to other less difficult medical situations, for instance, patients suffering from obesity use scales for self-control of their weight. Patients can also control cellulitis or any other dermatologic disease themselves by using a mirror, etc. If there are any difficulties in interpretation of results of thermograms, a patient must consult the physician.

You cannot use СЕМ® ThermoDiagnostics personal thermograph (even with a special nozzle) for measuring IR temperature of damaged skin surfaces and mucosa.  

The device contains small parts. It should be kept in a place out of reach of children and pets.
