Nowadays, heat and energy saving policy is a must. Among a variety of different techniques infra-red emission-based methods are also widely used. CEM^® ThermoDiagnostics infra-red thermometer is a perfect aid. Please, consider the fact that the absolute temperature will not necessarily match temperature value readings measured by other thermometers. The point is to identify the heat leakage areas by comparing different areas.

Measuring technique. Choose a subject for measurements. It can be a wall, joint, window or door carpentry. Make a drawing of the measured subject, mark several peripheral points, carry our measurements and fill in the obtained results in a table. For getting the best accuracy while measuring, keep the thermometer perpendicularly to the measured surface only slightly touching it.

Results interpretation. The areas of lower temperature readings demonstrate zones with the biggest heat leakages.
